EU7 Emissions: 8 Nations Seek to Delay Vehicle Standards

Date: As environmental protection becomes an increasingly global issue, EU countries are engaged in heated debates over regulations concerning vehicle emissions. A recent Reuters report indicates that eight EU countries, including France and Italy, are attempting to delay and weaken the planned Euro 7 regulations. The EUs rotating presidency, Spain, hopes to submit a draft compromise proposal to the Council next week, which may also postpone the implementation deadlines for cars and trucks (originally set for mid-2025 and mid-2027).
